Wheatland, Missouri (January 24, 2017) - After finishing last season with a rush in his USRA B-Modified, Shawn Strong got a running start to 2017 with a highly successful visit to the Wild West Shootout in Arizona.
"It definitely was a confidence booster," Strong said of a victory, a runner-up finish (rallying from starting 23rd) and a fourth (after beginning 15th) in four starts during the series of races at Arizona Speedway near Phoenix.
Wheatland, Missouri (January 19, 2017) - Since he began racing regularly at Lucas Oil Speedway, Joplin's Johnny Coats has been Mr. Consistency.
Coats finished third in the Street Stock division for the third straight season in 2016 on the heels of a second-place finish in 2013. The only missing piece of the puzzle is obvious and has Coats hungry for the new year that fires up in April.

Wheatland, Missouri (January 10, 2017) - For now, Kaeden Cornell is content with bouncing a basketball, balancing school work and getting his driver's license as a newly minted 16-year-old. In other words, living the typical life of a high school sophomore.

Wheatland, Missouri (January 5, 2017) - Instead of slowing down with age, Mike Striegel seems to be picking up speed.
Coming off his first Lucas Oil Speedway track championship in 2015, in the USRA B-Modified divsion, Striegel finished a solid third in the USRA Modified chase at his hometown track in 2016.
