Various marketing opportunities available for 2024 Lucas Oil Speedway season

WHEATLAND, MO. (Dec. 5, 2023) - With Lucas Oil Speedway recently completing its 2024 tentative schedule, the speedway still has several openings for marketing opportunities in various ways throughout the season.

Included are billboard sponsorships, Big Adventure Weekly Racing Series race-night sponsorships, heat-race sponsors, feature-event sponsors, jumbo tron ads and website links or ads. There also are opportunities to market with the speedway on major events, such as Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA races, ASCS and POWRi Midget open-wheel events, the Inaugural High Racing Diamond Classic, USMTS Modifieds and season-opening Easter Bowl Enduro 150.

Lucas Oil Speedway's major events throughout the season are live streamed to audiences worldwide and many of the special events and weekly races also produced for later telecast on the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

The speedway also has three scheduled Kentucky Drag Boat Association-sanctioned events on Lake Lucas with sponsorships and signage available there as well.

Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton also points out both the dirt track and drag boat facility have vendor booths available with prices varying depending on size and event.

“While we’re all preparing for the holiday season, the planning for the 2024 Lucas Oil Speedway season has been underway for quite some time,” Lorton said. “Now is the time for anyone who’s interested in joining us as a marketing partner to reach out to myself or Laurie Looney about the possibilities and how we can align their business with Lucas Oil Speedway.”

Looney, the pit office manager, has moved into an expanded role and will assist Lorton in the marketing and sponsorship area.

Those interested in more information can find out more info by checking out the Lucas Oil Speedway information guide or contact either Lorton or Looney by phone at (417) 282-5984 or by email at dlorton@lucasoilspeedway.com or llooney@lucasoilspeedway.com.

Lucas Oil Speedway is one of the most well-known and highly regarded multi-sport racing facilities in the country. The land was originally a hay field and soybean field among other agricultural uses prior to hosting motorsports events as Wheatland Raceway.

Wheatland residents Ron and Mary Jenkins built the original racing facility as a 3/8th-mile dirt track, which opened in mid-2001 and was known as Wheatland Raceway. The raceway was a popular entertainment destination almost immediately as the track provided some of the best side-by-side short track dirt racing in the region.

After discussions with Ron and Mary Jenkins, owners of the original Wheatland Raceway, Forrest and Charlotte Lucas purchased the Wheatland Raceway in late 2004. Upon the completion of the racing season, the Lucas Oil construction crew set about to transform Wheatland Raceway into what is now known as the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks.”

Following a multi-million dollar renovation project that lasted until mid-summer 2006 when the speedway opened. As part of the project, the only item remaining was the dirt track itself. An all new grandstand complex complete with 21 VIP luxury suites, a state of the art bar, concession stand and gift shop were erected.

A completely new pit area was installed with concrete pit stalls plus electric and water in nearly every pit stall. An enclosed tech building, fabrication shop, and a full service parts store were also constructed.

Lucas Oil Speedway recently unveiled its tentative 2024 schedule with Open Test & Tune set to kick things off on March 30. The speedway has gift cards available for purchase as a Christmas-gift option and also has season pass renewals for the 2024 season available at a discount through the end of the year.

Season passes for the 2024 season are available now at a $50 discount for renewals from 2023. Contact Admissions Director Nichole McMillan at (417) 282-5984 or email her at nmcmillan@lucasoilspeedway.com for more information.

Season Pass Renewals before Dec. 29th, 2023:

Adults (Age 16-61) $700 (dirt-track only)

Seniors (Age 62 and up) $600 (dirt-track only)

Season Passes beginning Jan. 15th, 2024:

Adults (Age 16-61) $750 (dirt-track only)

Senior (Age 62 and up) $650 (dirt track only)

Each season pass holder is entitled to one reserved stadium-style seat, complete with high backs and armrests located in the top six rows of the main grandstand of the dirt track.

Meanwhile, Lucas Oil Speedway gift cards are available in any dollar amount. Gift cards can be used in all departments including in the ticket office, pit office, camp shack, concessions, gift shop, suites and the Diamond Bar.

Lorton added that the gift shop is remaining open year-round, during week-day business hours, for those interested in stopping by the track and shopping for items.
