Stop by Lucas Oil Speedway's booth for a chance to win tickets, prizes at Sertoma Chili Cookoff

WHEATLAND, Missouri (Feb. 19, 2020) - Stop by and see the Lucas Oil Speedway crew at one of the area's charity events, Saturday's 39th annual Sertoma Chili Cookoff at the Expo Center in downtown Springfield.

Lucas Oil Speedway will be at booths 49 and 50 on the main floor. Team members will be raffling off tickets to Off Road and Drag Boat races this summer along with some prize giveaways and free schedule cards for the 2020 season.

Chad Claunch and Kevin Meineke from the speedway's maintenance department along with Diamond Cafe Manager Laurie Hoffman and Diamond Bar Manager Laurie Looney will be cooking up Lucas Oil Speedway's award-worthy chili samples throughout the day. Spectators can vote for their favorite chili among the dozens of entries.

"This is a fun event with proceeds going toward a great cause and we're always proud to be a part of it," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "We hope everyone will stop by our booth and say hello."

The Sertoma Chili Cook Off is annually one of the biggest charity events in southwest Missouri with proceeds benefiting the Springfield Boys' and Girls' Clubs. Advance tickets are $16 at participating Fast n' Friendly, Rapid Roberts and Hy-Vee locations and $20 at the door.

The event runs from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. It has become one of the biggest parties of the year in the Ozarks with dozens of area businesses serving a wide variety of chili recipes that attendees are able to sample and enjoy, as well as voting for their favorite booth. A number of live bands and activities are hosted throughout the day alongside the delicious food and drinks.
