Lucas Oil Speedway's Fan Appreciation Night includes points battles, Pure Stocks and Vintage Racers

WHEATLAND, Missouri - An action-packed Saturday night awaits fans at Lucas Oil Speedway when action resumes this week for Fan Appreciation Night Presented by CW Ozarks/Ozarks Sports Zone.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds will headline the action with a 25-lap, $1,000 to win feature. Pure Stocks also will be a special guest class, joining the Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks.

The Show-Me Vintage Racing Club also will return after a popular appearance a year ago. The club, which features a wide variance of years, makes and models, will display their cars on the midway before putting on a 10-lap vintage race.

"We really enjoyed having the Show-Me Vintage Race Club on hand last year. They were a lot of fun for the fans to look at up close on the midway and on the race track," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said.

"We're also excited about having the Pure Stocks make their first appearance as a guest class," Lorton added, noting that the division will return on Aug. 31 during the Lucas Oil MLRA Larry Phillips Memorial. The Pure Stocks will use Lake Ozark Speedway and MO-KAN Pure Stock rules.

The Pure Stock drivers won't have to pay any type of track registration fee or entry fee, just for pit passes. Feature payouts will go through 24th place with first in the feature worth $300.

In the next-to-last Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series program of 2019, fans will be treated to food and drink specials throughout the evening including $1 nachos & cheese, $2 hot dogs and $2 soft drinks or waters. There also will be specials in the Track Treasures Gift Shop and Diamond Bar during the evening and the first 500 fans through the spectator gates will receive gift bags courtesy of GEICO and Lucas Oil Speedway.

The points races are coming down to the wire with an especially close battle in the Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models where Johnny Fennewald of Appleton City leads Kaeden Cornell by five points and Aaron Marrant by nine.

Robbie Reed of Mexico leads Paden Phillips by 49 points in the Pitts Homes USRA Modified division. Lebanon's Kris Jackson is 47 in front of JC Morton in the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods. Toby Ott of Wheatland has a commanding 118-point margin over Johnny Coats in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and opening ceremonies at 7.

Admission prices:
Adults (16 and over) $12
Seniors (62 and over) $9
