$5 admission at Lucas Oil Speedway this Saturday

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Looking for some cooperation from Mother Nature after a rare rainout, the Lucas Oil Speedway Big RV Adventure Weekly Racing Series is scheduled to resume action Saturday night with fans getting a special bargain.

KOLR 10 and Z27 presents the program featuring all four divisions of the weekly series, with $5 tickets for all adults, seniors and youth. Kids ages 5-and-under remain free, as always.

"We're eager to fire the engines back up after our first rainout of the weekly series since 2015," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "The special discounted price is a great opportunity to thank our fans for their support. We're appreciative of our partners from KOLR 10 and Z27 for their support."

Classes in action on Saturday will be the Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, the Big O Tires Street Stocks and the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods. The Big O Tires Street Stocks will be the featured class of the evening running a special 25-lap, $500 to win main event.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and racing at 7:35 p.m.

Prior to last weekend's washout, parity had been the name of the game through the season's first two weekends at Lucas Oil Speedway. Of the 10 feature races contested so far in 2017, there have been 10 different visitors to victory lane.

The USRA Modifieds have run three features so far with three-time reigning track champion Jeff Cutshaw of Bolivar off to another strong start. In addition to an opening-night feature win, Cutshaw has finishes of third and sixth and leads the early points chase.

Other points leaders in the early going are Republic's Burl Woods (Big O Tires Street Stocks), Lebanon's Kris Jackson (Ozark Golf Cars B Mods) and Henley's Jason Russell (Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models).

In additional to the discounted admission seating in the grandstands, a select number of suites are available for Saturday's action. Contact admissions director Nichole McMillan (417) 282-5984 or by email nichole@lucasoilspeedway.com for more information.
