Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (May 3, 2016) – Brandon Hanks will make his debut at Lakeside Speedway this Thursday during the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“Earlier this year we won on a new track we hadn’t been to,” he said. “The way our year is going we’re building some momentum and putting together great runs so I’m looking forward to similar success in Kansas City.”

Hanks will then wrap up this weekend on Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., which will co-sanction the ASCS Red River Region and the ASCS Warrior Region. Hanks enters the race with a 69-point lead in the ASCS Red River championship standings.

“Wheatland isn’t my best race track, but we keep working on it,” he said. “For some reason we seem to struggle there. However, with our recent success overall I feel a lot more confident heading there.”

Hanks has captured a pair of feature victories this season and he has six top-seven finishes in his last eight races during the past five weeks.

“I remember when the goals were just to make the show,” he said. “Going to a new race track I’m ok with a top 10. With the struggles we’ve had in Wheatland, a top 10 wouldn’t be so bad either. I really think we can do better than that, but I think we at least want top 10s this weekend.”

SEASON STATS –

14 races, 2 wins, 5 top fives, 9 top 10s, 9 top 15s, 12 top 20s
