LUCAS OIL SPEEDWAY MANAGEMENT
Kevin Greven, General Track Manager of the Lucas Oil Speedway announced this afternoon that he will be leaving the track to pursue a new exciting endeavor.
“Unfortunately, at this point I cannot divulge any of the details regarding the move,” Greven said, “but suffice to say it was one of those opportunities you simply have to take.”
Replacing Greven in the role of General Manager will be Randy Bowman, who has worked closely with Greven over the past season and a half.
“This will be a very smooth transition,” Greven added, “Randy and I have basically been a management team from day one.”
It is a team that has truly catapulted the Lucas Oil Speedway into the National lime light as one of the Country’s premiere dirt racing facilities.
“I have known Kevin since our O’Reilly Auto Parts days,” said Bowman. “His input and motivation will definitely be missed. However right now I am focused on the future. We have an end of the season driver's banquet to wrap up and the finishing touches to place on the 2009 schedule.”
The schedule is expected to be complete by the first of year and will again include both weekly racing and special events such as the SuperClean Diamond Nationals, The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League and others. Plus a couple of O’Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil Speedway events and a visit from the new Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series.
Weekly racing will include the same awesome classes as 2008: Factory Stock, “A” Modified, and ULMA Late Models.
“I’m ready to go back racing right now,” ended Bowman, “I know many of the racers and fans feel the same way.”
