O’REILLY MLRA PRESENTED BY LUCAS OIL PRODUCTS

Saturday August 23, 2008 the O'Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil Products thunders into the Diamond of Dirt Tracks for the final time this season.

"In April these guys kicked off both their season and ours with a huge car count and awesome racing," said Kevin Geven, General Track Manager.  "Since then they have played a key role in every big late model race this year."

In that season opening, Bolivar Herald Late Model Clash, nearly 50 late models came to set the field with Jeremy Payne 74P taking the win.  A month later it was the SuperClean Diamond Nationals featuring both the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Models and the O'Reilly MLRA.  Then the O'Reilly Late Model Challenge in June and the CMH Late Model Showdown in July.

Now as their final appearance looms ever closer, their points race getting close as well.  As of August 4th, Terry Phillips lead 2nd place John Anderson by a mere 38 points.  However, from the second place spot through David Turner third to Jeremy Payne in fourth, only FOUR points separate the leaders.

Also in action on Saturday August 23, will be the Pitt's Homes "A" Modifieds. around 7 p.m.
